![]() I was so close to a prize, one which meant nothing to me in a material sense, that I just felt compelled to keep playing. However, because I had come so close to getting to Black Belt I wanted to keep going. I don't play cash games and I certainly don't play short stacked cash games. By the time I had completed my mission I had made Blue Belt. It is no different to any other 10BB cash game and getting to a certain type of belt does not win you any extra money. You have a progress bar that represents your chips and a 'level up' bar which charts your progress from white belt to black belt. Now it has a karate video game look and feel. It turns out they have revamped their 'Banzai' cash games (short stack cash games). I was playing on Unibet and had a monthly 'Mission' to complete. I'm not really a video games guy, but I often get sucked into the 'gamification' of poker. I had an odd experience at the weekend, one which I have fallen into many times in online poker.
